SC Junks PCSO Plunder case vs. Ex President Gloria Arroyo - lawyer

SC junks PCSO plunder case vs. Gloria Arroyo —lawyer

The Supreme Court (SC) has junked the plunder case filed against former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo for the alleged misuse of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office's (PCSO) P366-million intelligence funds from 2008 to 2010.
Lawyer Raul Lambino, one of the legal advisers of the former president and now Pampanga 2nd District representative, said that SC justices voted 11-4 to junk the plunder case.
Radio dzBB said that according to Lambino, the former president was pleased with the high court's ruling.
The lawyer reminded that Arroyo was placed under hospital arrest at the Veterans' Memorial Medical Center in Quezon City because of the PCSO case.
GMA News Online is still seeking a confirmation from SC spokesperson Theodore Te.
The SC's Public Information Office has scheduled a press conference at 2 p.m.
Arroyo’s camp earlier filed a demurrer before the Sandiganbayan First Division over the alleged misuse of the PCSO funds.
A demurrer is a written plea for the dismissal of a case.
The First Division denied Arroyo’s demurrer in 2015, prompting her camp to elevate the case to the SC.—with Elizabeth Marcelo/ALG, GMA News

Another Great Job of DA Sec. Manny Piñol

Another Great Job of DA Sec. Manny Piñol

It is really bad when you are hearing these kind of news that some of the government assets that are supposed to be distributed to our farmers are stocked somewhere for almost a year. That's what Aquino Government we have last administration. It is really a stupid government! Luckily we have a new and better government, who really cares to our farmers and not only sitting in the office.

Here is the new Facebook post of our beloved DA Sec. Manny Piñol

AGRI EQPT WORTH P100-M
RUSTING IN DA COMPOUND

By Manny Piñol
While many farmers of Central Mindanao have to be content with using the slow moving carabao to plow their rice fields, modern agriculture equipment worth over P100-M have been left under the elements in the 35-hectare compound of the Dept. of Agriculture in Tupi, South Cotabato.
Some of the equipment units were bought by the government as long as four years ago while the more expensive ones, including multi-million peso rice and corn harvesters and tractors are about a year old.
I visited the compound yesterday on my way to Gen. Santos City from Koronadal City, South Cotabato where I and two other department secretaries - DILG Sec. Mike Sueno and Defense Sec. Delfin Lorenzana - were guests during the province's foundation anniversary.
What I saw gave me a mixed feeling of anger and pity.
I felt my knees weakened as I toured the huge compound filled with agricultural equipment asking regional DA officials why the farm machineries have not been distributed to the farmers or farmers groups.
Of course, the person who could have given me the answer, former DA Regional Director Amalia Datukan, was no longer there since right after my assumption as Secretary of Agriculture, I immediately relieved her.
The OIC Director Carlene Collado who is manning the regional post until the appointment papers of the incoming Regional Director Milagros Casis are signed by President Rody Duterte, said that the machineries were not distributed because the farmers could not come up with a 15% cash equity which the DA required from them as their counterpart.
When I asked to whom should the 15% cash equity go to, Collado said it was supposed to go to the dealer of the equipment to complete the payment.
Collado said that in the guidelines issued by former Agriculture Secretary Proceso Alcala, the farmers or farmers group was supposed to shoulder 15% of the cost of the equipment with the DA paying for 85%.
Honestly, I do not understand why farmers would have to be asked to make the complete payment for machineries procured by the government.
The government does not procure on installment or partial payment process.
Today, I have directed the Internal Audit Service, retired Phil. Marines Colonel Danny Luna, to come up with a report on this misuse of government funds and assets.
In the meantime, I have directed that the equipment be immediately rehabilitated, repaired and repainted and distributed to the farmers or local government units.
I will also ask lawyers of the department to study this case and determine the administrative and criminal liability of the officials behind the procurement and non-distribution of these machineries.
I believe that by keeping the equipment and machineries in the compound unused for a long period of time, government was defrauded of the value of money it spent in buying the said equipment.
Worse, farmers were also deprived of 1 to 4 years of increased productivity which could have been achieved had the equipment and machineries were released earlier.
Any which way, it is altogether wrong and immoral.

Magandang Metro Manila

Magandang Metro Manila

President Duterte rode his motorcycle with a helmet around Muntinlupa to inspect the traffic situation. He saw that there were a lot of vendors causing the traffic in Muntinlupa market.
So he rode his motorcycle straight to the office of Fresnedi and the guard at the Mayors office didn't allow him to enter because he had his helmet on. When he took off his helmet, all his bodyguards started to surround him and Mayor Fresnedi immediately stepped out of his office to welcome Digong. Digong told Fresnedi he wanted all the vendors out of the streets and inside the market selling area.
And so for the last few days, no traffic and extremely peaceful to walk around the market area.
Change is possible, fast and effective under Duterte!

At ngayun naman ay ang Muntinlupa naging malinis at maaliwalas ang lugar ayun sa kanilang Facebook Page: City Government of Muntinlupa - OFFICIAL

Congressman from Zamboanga Opposes Mandatory Drug Test

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — With the Duterte administration's strong anti-drugs campaign, one lawmaker wants mandatory drug testing for all members of Congress and their staff.
But another lawmaker is opposing it. "Mandatory drug test for all just to address a few cases is unnecessary," said Gloria Labadlabad, Zambaonga Del Norte 2nd District Representative.

Labadlabad is contesting the resolution filed by Surigao Del Norte Representative Robert Ace Barbers that aims for a drug-free Congress.

According to a statement, Labadlabad said "there is no need for lawmakers to undergo such drug test personally because of her high regard in the integrity of the majority of the elected legislators."

Barbers' resolution requires all lawmakers, their staff, consultants, officers, and all employees of the House to take periodic drug tests.

Those who fail to comply will face sanctions and will not receive their salaries and benefits.

“The House of Representatives should underscore its commitment, support and participation to anti-drug policies, programs and projects by ensuring that its own workplace is a drug-free institution,” Barbers said.

Malacañang recently said it is in favor of mandatory drug testing for all government employees.

Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella said drug tests would show if people in government are

"worthy of trust."

Trouble in West Philippines Sea

Trouble in West Philippines Sea

last July 12, 2016 the Hague Arbitrational Tribunal release the decision of the case filed by the Philippines government by the last administration (Aquino Term) the new administration welcome the decision but carefully studying the outcome of the decision.

The Philippines cannot afford to go to war its devastating that new president also express his view he said in one of his speech in San Beda alumina party that war is not our option he might sent the former President Fidel V Ramos to china to start the diplomatic or bilateral talk. Thank God we have a thinking President who study first before making any wrong decision unlike the last administration Aquino yellow Government.

We have no enough power to go to war many Filipino people are patriot in the Philippines flag the nationalism is really boiling to the hottest, but keep calm my fellow Filipinos I was once like that so angry when china is the topic of the talk, but keep in mind in the reality we have no enough power military and economy many property will be destroy many people will die if we engaged in war to china. If you notice in the Middle East war is really evil many children die and now suffering no food to eat no water to drink and no safety in the community. America will help us but maybe when there are already many casualties in our nation. So let’s not relay in America its better if we are standing by our self as a nation, a nation that can makes our decision a nation that happy by their own government a nation who protecting our people a nation who is God fearing so that god will bless us.

Look what happened when Oligarchs yellow government ousted the Great President Ferdinand Marcos the Philippines is one of the leading nation in Asia Pacific on that time Philippines known all over the world but started destroying by the Aquino yellow cult. They Destroy the Strong Philippines so this is the result we don’t have more coast guard and navy ship which is vital to the security of our sovereignty.

We must not let happened the destruction that may arise in South China Sea even we are in right side of the international law we need to be patient if we don’t want to happened to us like what happened in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Yemen.
